Our Little Leprechaun!!

This past weekend we headed back to Emmetsburg for the annual St. Pats celebration! We had such a great time with wonderful family and friends! Grandma and Grandpa babysat Saturday and we even hit up the town for a little bit! :)

Last week was my first week back at work! The grandmas split the week, and took care of Tater for us. I was so thankful and it made the transition back to work much easier.
This week Tate headed to daycare at Doris'. Doris is my close friend/co-worker's mother. She's wonderful and we're soo thankful for her. We know Tate is in good hands.

Tater is 2 months old already. We had his 2 month appointment and he's growing and growing. 10 lbs 3 ounces!! BIG BOY! The poor little man had a round of shots too, which I think were WAY harder on Mama! Dr. Nau says he's healthy and right on track

Best Buddies!

I had to post tonight to share a picture of Tate and his BIG cousin Kayson! Last weekend Blair and I went to watch Kayson for a bit! We got him all ready for bed and put the boys in their PJs!! They were sooo cute! The picture is priceless! Take a looksy! :)

Diminishing Maternity Leave...:(

So, I've been pretty terrible about posting on my blog! I need to get better about it!
Things are GREAT! Tate is growing so much. I wish I knew how much he weighed, but we won't know until the 11th of March when we go for his two month appointment. He's starting to smile in response to us and he is making lots of fun little noises.
I go back to work on March 14th! I can't believe that my maternity leave is almost over...or that my baby is almost 2 months old!
Last night Blair and I went on a little 'date'! It was so nice. We had our very good friend, Vickie, watch Tate. We went out for a drink and then to a movie. We had a nice time! Thanks Vickie!:)

Tate's Baptism

Little Tate was baptized today! It was such an awesome day! My brother Marc and his girl friend Amanda flew in from Arizona. We picked them up Friday at the airport and have enjoyed having them here this weekend. Both grandparents and Ryan, Janelle, and Kayson came to celebrate the baptism too! Marc and Janelle were Tate's Godparents.

Blair and I are quickly realizing how amazing parenthood is. He is such a little blessing and is growing everyday! I seem to find myself taking pictures of him ALL the time, but for some reason I've been struggling with the blog. I'm going to get better about it..:)

So I have to share a couple of pictures that Janelle took of Tate! She does such great work and we LOVE them! Tonight Blair and I got birth announcements ordered and we're so excited to see them.

Things have been going great! I'm actually loving this blizzard because it means that Blair gets to be home with Tate and me.

Big Boy!!

Tate is 2 weeks old today! It doesn't seem like it's been 2 weeks since he came into the world...feels like yesterday! Oh, he is such an awesome little guy and we're soo in love with him.
We had an appointment today. He is now 6 lbs 10 oz and 19 3/4 in! Dr. Nau was very impressed considering he's gained over a pound since leaving the hospital. He said that whatever we're doing must be right, because he's gaining weight! That made this mama feel relieved!
This afternoon we just stayed in Ames and ran some errands! He just went along and didn't make a peep. We then went to Okoboji Grill to see some of our friends...the "regulars"! It was fun for everyone to see him! He then proceeded to pee on himself so we came right home. We got home at about 6:30 and I gave him a quick bath in the bathroom sink. I got him in a new outfit and prepared to feed him..as I picked him up he soaked through his second outfit- on the back! HOW? I have NO idea how...little boys can do wonders! Now this evening Blair just went in to change him and he peed on himself again! HA! Thats 3 outfits in like 3 hours! haha!
Last night Aunt Nell took pictures of Tate! I can't wait to see them...I think there are going to be some great ones! She's good at what she does and has LOTS of creative ideas! We tried to get some with Kayson and Tate but Kayson wasn't really having it. We tried a few times, but didn't want to push it too much. The funny part is- Kayson WAS willing to sit by Tate for a few minutes when he discovered that Tate had "boobies"...haha! So funny!

Tate, Bubba, Peter, Buddy, Tater, Little Man....

He's here! Tate Martin Taylor was born on January 14, 2011 at 1:16 a.m. He was 6 lbs 8 oz and 19 inches.  He came via c-section because he was simply 'stuck' and wasn't going to come on his own. Even though the whole process was long, I'm already beginning to forget that! We're so in love with him!
He's developed lots of nick names and we keep adding more to the list! His real name however was something that we've been talking about for quite awhile now. I liked the meaning of the name Tate, which is 'cheerful one'. We both think 'Tate Taylor' just sounds like a stud. Martin is after his grandpa Siemers. I think Grandpa Siemers was very proud of this.
I'm just now opening my computer for the first time to blog and upload some pictures...I've just been too content spending every mintue with my new little family that I haven't had to distract myself with these things like I did when we were waiting for him.

We are so blessed. I'll write more details again soon, but for now I'll just add some pictures. Check out our little man...
