Doctor and Omaha

On Thursday, we took Tate to his two year visit. I always look forward to these appointments because I like visiting with Dr. Nau about his milestones, but this one was a little different. Tate is still small and of course they are concerned about his weight. Last year we had to see an endocrinologist and dietician at Blank Children's because of a low growth hormone and because of his low weight, but at that time the specialist told us that we'd just watch him and recheck him in a year. So it's been almost a year and again his weight is low. Dr. Nau gave us some ways to get more calories in his diet, and would like us to go back to Blank if his weight doesn't increase in three months.
I don't know what to think about all this. I think he's just petite. As his mommy, I know he's thriving and that he's very active. He eats well and he's been so healthy lately.
I guess we'll continue with the Pedisure and whole milk and pray for a little growing.

Tate's two year stats:
Weight- 20.6 lbs. (0 %ile)
Height- 31 in. (2nd  %ile)

On a more fun note- We went to Omaha this weekend to visit Marc and Amanda. My parents also came and got a room at the Ramada Inn. There is a huge waterpark at the hotel! We had a blast! Tate loved the water park. I swear that kid is part fish! :)
We were all spoiled this weekend with lots of fun and yummy meals out!

Enjoy some pictures!

Happy New Year!!

Good bye 2012 and HELLOOOO 2013! The past year was filled with lots of exciting things and changes...especially for Tate. I feel like he went from my baby to a toddler in the blink of an eye! He's getting so smart and I love watching him learn new things everyday.

Before New Years, we celebrated our final Christmas for the year. We went to Creston for the weekend. On Friday, we spent some time with friends while Grandma and Papa babysat. We had a nice chat with friends, and enjoyed a little time out!
On Saturday, Ryan, Janelle and the kiddos came and we spent time with the family. We opened gifts with the kids Saturday after the boys had nice little rests. Tate got lots of awesome toys, books, movies, bath toys, and even a new bedding set. It was so fun to watch them open and play.
Later in the evening, we had a delicious supper and we got to do chocolate fondue with Grandma Jean Ann. Tate loved it! He enjoyed the marshmallows most! ha!
The adults got to open presents once we finally got the kids off their sugar high and tucked into bed. We got LOTS of awesome things..spoiled once again! We truly appreciate everything! Thank you to everyone!!!!

On Sunday, we played awhile and then hit the road. We headed home and did lots of organizing and laundry. I even decided it was time to put away some of the babyish toys. Tate's toy room is all ready for an almost two-year-old.

We cheered on the Cyclones on New Year's Eve...but that ended in a loss! Boo. We had a nice time watching the game with West Marshll friends while my parents babysat for us. We brought in the New Year by watching the New York ball drop, but we said good night at 11:55...neither of us old farts could keep our eyes open! :)

Now today is the last day of my break! It's back to the kiddos tomorrow. Ready or not! :)

Here's a few pics from our fun weekend:
