Sick Little Man

This is was our sick little boy on Wednesday evening. Tate ended up in the hospital on Tuesday after having the severe stomach flu. I took him to the doctor because I was worried about dehydration. The doctor took one look at him and said, "This baby needs to come visit us in the hospital."
They immediatly got an IV started and we spent two nights there. He did really well. He didn't bother the IV and we cuddled with him all day and night.

He's back on the mend now and we are all recovering. We are so thankful for everyones thoughts and prayers. We have so much to be thankful for.

*******

But before we all got sick, we went to Emmetsburg for the St. Pats celebration. We had a lot of fun with family and friends. I have to share a few pictures of the fun!

Tate with Papa. He loved the parade.

Fun with the Scheckels at the parade.

SPOILED

We decided at the last minute on Friday to go to Emmetsburg. We didn't have plans, and we knew it would be very relaxing! :)
Now I'm sitting here on this Sunday evening realizing how SPOILED Tate was. He was pretty much catered to, and he played hard with his grandpa and grandma. He's Grandpa's little buddy and literally had a FIT if "Papa" left the room.

Here are some pictures for proof:

He wanted to play in the whirlpool. So Grandma let him! Then he turned the faucet on and he got what he really wanted...

A bath...In a really, really big tub.

Grandpa broke out the swing, because the weather was beautiful. (Note the open water on the lake.)
Tate was in heaven!

AND Grandpa thought he needed a new riding toy for Grandpa and Grandma's house. Check out his new ride. I think Grandpa took 200 laps around the house.

Thanks G&G Siemers for a nice, relaxing weekend!

Weekend

We had a super fun weekend! We started by going to Tate's Endocrinology appointment at Blank on Friday. We received great news and Dr. Cook is going to wait to do anymore growth hormone testing until Tate is 18 months. We were thankful that he didn't have to go through any tests. We did meet with a dietician and she gave us some advice on how to get more calories into his diet.
If you ask me, this it one healthy, silly one-year-old:

Friday afternoon we headed to Creston. Blair had a rehearsal for his good friend's wedding. We attended that and the dinner, while Tate played with the rest of the Taylor clan. He even got to spend time with Great Grandpa and Grandma.

On Saturday, the girls got pedicures and manicures and then we met the boys for lunch. Blair headed to the wedding and we joined him later.
The wedding was a blast. Congrats Matt and Kelsey Buck!

Look at these handsome boys:

And we even got a nice little family pic:

Thank you Grandma and Papa Taylor for a very nice weekend! We appreciate it! :)
