Our Easter Week!

We had a very busy, blessed Easter!

Our celebrating started on Thursday night. We dyed Easter eggs. This was a mess and very short-lived, but very well worth it! ha! Tate had a lot a fun and even managed to dye his gray sweatpants yellow!

Ta Da!

On Friday morning, we headed to Creston to spend time with the Taylor's. Tate played outside with Papa Mike in the afternoon, and that evening we had dinner with some great friends!

On Saturday, we celebrated with the whole Taylor family. Jean Ann prepared an awesome lunch and we had a nice time catching up with all the fam. Grandma Janis had an egg hunt for the kiddos! Tate loved it, and he actually understood what he was doing this year! It was so cute.

Look at these handsome boys! Just relaxin'!

Grandma Ann and Tate

These are two very lucky boys! Grandma and Papa got them a Jeep to enjoy when they visit! The both loved it. Tate didn't always like Kayson in the drivers seat though!

The cousins..minus Colby, Duke, and Britt

Counting the eggs!

After all the playing on Saturday, we headed back to Nevada. When we got to our house, Papa Tim and Nana Dawn were waiting with a surprise for Tate. Check out the surprise-

Chicks!!!
Aren't they cute? Yes, they went back home with Nana and Papa!

Tate slept in this morning, but was excited for his surprises from the Easter Bunny. We then headed to church, and came home for a nice lunch. Naps were had by all, and my parents hit the road this evening.

Happy Easter to all! :)

St. Pat's and more...

Last weekend we went to Emmetsburg for St. Paddy's Day! :) We had a great weekend..even though the weather was COLD!
We went to the fish fry on Friday night. On Saturday our good friends, Matt and Kelsey, along with Matt's parents came to Mom and Dad's to smoke a bunch of meat. Matt and his dad prepared 30 pounds of turkey legs and several racks of ribs! It was a TON of food, but delicious.
We went to the parade. Tate wasn't too excited about it and I think he was almost scared of it. I think it was a combination of the cold weather and the fire truck sirens at the beginning.
He was just happy to be in Papa's garage riding his gator, playing ball, and swinging. We had so much company at the house that afternoon and evening so he was very entertained. It was a great weekend!

 Yummy!! Bakery donuts with Nana!
Papa got Tate his first baseball glove! He loved it. As you can see, he's still trying to figure out how to wear it.

Gator!!

Off to the parade!

Papa and Tate all bundled up!

This last week we didn't have daycare, because Debbie takes a spring break. Tate got to spend lots of time with his Nanas. Nana Dawn came on Monday and Tuesday, and Nana Jean Ann came on Thursday and Friday. On Friday, Tate rode back to Creston to spend some time with Papa Mike too. Mommy and Daddy got to have dinner out and watch the Cyclone game.

Nana Jean Ann made bunnies with Tate while we were at work. Aren't they cute?

Thank you to the grandmas for babysitting for us! I know Tate had a blast!

SNOW DAYS!

We've had so much snow and so many snow days! We've been staying warm and keeping busy inside, and we've also spent a little time out in the snow too. Yesterday I had a snow day and Blair had to go to school. Tate and I had such a fun day at home doing art and finding new things to play with. There wasn't a boring moment! :)

I decided to give Tater a pan of Rice Krispies to drive his trucks in. He ended up playing with it for over an hour. He scooped and poured probably 100 times. I could have fed an army with the cereal on my floor, but oh well...it was cheap entertainment, and a great use of stale cereal.

This next picture is hilarious! This doesn't even look like him. I told him to stand by his shamrock we made and say "cheese"--Well he's cheesy alright! haha! Goof!

We played in the snow a day last week, and then came inside to experience hot chocolate for the first time!

Messy, but so yummy! :) Notice the bib on the back of his chair...but what fun would that be? :)

I love my snow days, but I'm going to pray for spring because I'm officially into June now!
