My Silly Boy
I just have to share a funny story about Tate tonight! He just cracked me up and I had to put it in the blog so I didn't forget the details! But before I share, I have to fill in a small detail. Tate has been very curious about boys and girls and will even ask about his "dude". When he talks about it I try not to make it a big deal but lately he's been bringing it up a lot. I hope this is just a phase for little boys and will go away soon. So anyways he just wouldn't settle in tonight and wanted to be held and rocked. When I rock him, he likes to have full conversations about his day, all of our family members, and anything else that's on his little mind! So after having a full conversation about playing in the snow and Papa's trucks, I decided I would try singing. As soon as I started singing, he started throwing all his requests out there. "Swish, Swish, Mommy" ( Wheels on the Bus), "Cyclone" (ISU fight song), and lastly "Manger" (Away in a Manger). I know more than finish that song and Tate popped up his little head and asked, "Baby Jesus have a dude, Mommy?" I tried not to make it a big deal but inside I was dying laughing. What can I say... he is a very inquisitive 2 year old!

It's been awhile...
It's been awhile, so I figured I better put some 'thoughts' up on the blog!
So, let's see...
Tate has been busy playing hard and learning lots of new things. He loves his train table, basketball hoop, and of couse his tractors.
He enjoys doing 'art' in the evenings. Art usually involves stickers, painting, or playing Play-doh.
His vocabulary continues to expand daily. I can't believe the new things he says everyday.
Last week he came home from Debbie's house and said, "Mommy, Adi pushed Tate! Poor Tate"--So the tattle-telling has started. I probably should start asking what he did to deserve it. He's not innocent, as he's been known as the 'biter' at daycare. haha!
He can count to 10, and has a pretty good handle on the ABCs (his version is a little modified). :)
He loves his papas and nanas. He refuses to call Grandma Jean Ann 'Grandma' and I think this might make her cringe a little bit! Tate prefers 'Nana'.
He refers to both Uncle Ryan and Kayson as "Ry". Someday he'll learn that their names are not one in the same! :) He does however have Aunt Nell, Cora, Marc, and Amanda mastered.
He LOVES his stuffed monkey aka Ah-Ah. Ah-Ah goes everywhere with us! He also has his softie right by his side at all times!
We just got his 2 year pictures taken! They turned out great, and I can't wait to get some ordered.
Blair is busy with grad school and usually spends most nights reading and doing posts.
I've had conferences this week. They usually make for a long week, but I'm excited about a four day weekend coming up.
Happy Valentines Day!!!
